Key Stage 1 classroom

Sparrow Farm School, West London

Bespoke design - small classroom with additional small learning spaces

We worked with the school to design a bespoke classroom with a unique interior layout. The space is divided into a classroom space and two further one-to-one or small group room learning spaces.

This project took just eight weeks to complete on-site, despite complex access and restrictions, and opened ready for the start of the new school year.

The new eco-classroom replaced an existing mobile classroom which was in disrepair. It was constructed with functionality and sustainability at the forefront of its design, providing a less visually obstructive alternative to the original building. Built with a timber frame and external clad in vertical timber cladding, the windows and doors are polyester powder-coated frames. It sits on the same original footprint and we successfully reconfigured the interior space and layout to meet the schools requirements. The environmental credentials of the new modular building ensures reduced running costs over the school buildings lifetime.

eco-classrooms delivered the complete service, from the design phase through to the building's completion, with the client happy with the design, installation and overall quality of the finished build.

"Just to say, we're loving our eco-classroom - which we've called "The Nest"!  The school, it's parents, the governors and most of all, the children are delighted with the building. It is beautiful, functional and eco-friendly."  Headteacher and Governors.
